Recently I made the decision to start getting out the house more. I am a notorious home body and at my young age, that’s just not cute. I really used to sit at the house like a little old lady. Not because I don’t get invited places or because there’s nothing to do, I just like chilling at home.

Woman Receives Honorary Degree 50 Years After... →
This brought a tear to my eye.
Ms. Mary Jean Walls was the first African-American to apply to Missouri State University and was rejected in 1950 even though she was salutatorian of her high school. They told her she should go to Lincoln University instead.
50 years later, MSU decides to bestow her with an honorary bachelor’s degree.
Wow.
